Cara Fotofilli

My main body of work is large non-figurative watercolour paintings characterised by curvy lines of dots created by using cotton buds to apply masking fluid, over which a wash is applied, leaving dots of white paper. My hope is that a viewer will feel and wonder. I have no intention that the image should be a text to be de-coded, and no preconceived idea of what the image represents. All my work is about “the things we don’t know that we don’t know” and the process of painting for me is a step towards knowing those things.
