Fur and Feathers
The 'face' is the subject of the form which looks out to connect with the viewers gaze and emotion. Intricate detail, perfection of colour and light are what first engage the eye. Then the whimsy depth of personality, a signature of Margaret's pieces that imbued within her subjects: be it birds, animals, objects or botanical flowers.
"I have always drawn faces, a fascination which evolved into an interest in make-up artistry."
Margaret's continues to produce works in her Auckland studio and her works are included in major art collections here in New Zealand and Internationally around the world.
